River Camp

For over 30 years, the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust, Inc. (Parkway) has been offering an exciting, fun, and safe day camp experience for the Valley’s children at River Camp. Our lively and experienced staff of counselors, lifeguards, and visiting presenters will engage your children in activities that enhance their understanding of, and connection to, the San Joaquin River. Campers enjoy swimming and splashing in cool water, learning to canoe, exploring wildlife habitats, playing games, creating arts and crafts, and building new friendships during their week-long day camp experience.

River Camp Scholarship Program

Parkway is dedicated to providing children opportunities to enjoy the wonders of nature and the San Joaquin River. Every child deserves the chance to explore, learn, and play at River Camp. Scholarships, at varying levels, help remove financial barriers to make camp possible for more families. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors, Parkway is proud to provide River Camp scholarship opportunities for seasonal and summer camp programs. These scholarships would not be possible without their support. To learn how you can help make camp accessible for more families, click here.

Inclusive Practices

River Camp is a place for children of all abilities. All children deserve the opportunity to learn, play, and thrive in the natural environment at their level. Striving to incorporate inclusive practices organization-wide, Parkway employs Support Counselors at River Camp programs to ensure programming is accessible to all children, ranging from frequent basic check-ins and extra breaks to 1:1 staff support to make certain each child’s needs are met. Click the button below to complete a brief interest form to help our staff better understand your campers’ needs. The Inclusion Coordinator will contact you directly within 1-2 business days of receiving the interest form response. Together, we will create a thoughtful, individualized plan for your camper to ensure a successful and enriching experience at River Camp.
