The Rental Events Manager coordinates and manages rental events at the Coke Hallowell Center for River Studies (River Center). Rental events include weddings and other types of indoor and outdoor, daytime and evening events, and daytime meetings in either of the onsite conference rooms. This role manages renter communication, contracts and payments, vendor coordination, onsite event support, and the administrative systems that keep rental activities tracked accurately. This role will offer opportunities to develop new partnerships in support of expanding rental activities. Parkway Internships

This 15-week internship offers an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to build skills in park stewardship, ecological restoration, public engagement, and technical services. Interns will rotate through various departments and park program areas, gaining a comprehensive understanding of career pathways in California State Parks. Through this internship, interns will contribute to mission-driven, safe, and meaningful projects on the San Joaquin and Tuolumne River Parkways. River Tours Volunteers assist with leading public downriver and calm water kayak and canoe tours during the regular River Tours season. Volunteers greet participants and assist the River Tour Guide with assorted duties including shuttling participants and boats between the put-in and take-out points for each tour, loading and unloading the boat trailers, and group management while on the water.
