Business Giving
An investment in the Central Valley
Community-minded companies recognize that an investment in parklands makes the Valley a better place to live - and that's good for business. Research shows that access to recreation in natural spaces is essential for the physical, environmental, social, and economic health of a community. The River Parkway Trust partners with businesses that share our commitment to conserving land and providing places where people can experience renewal in nature.

River Camp in Fresno Scholarship Fund
Every child deserves the chance to explore, learn, and grow in nature. The Trust's River Camp Scholarship Fund helps open the door for children who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend River Camp. Because of this fund, they can enjoy a week full of discovery, learning, laughter, and time to be kids along the San Joaquin River.
Your gift can make a big difference:• $10 outfits one camper with a River Camp t-shirt, an instant badge of belonging. • $25 provides the tools for hands-on learning through outdoor-themed crafts, games, and science activities. • $35.50 gives one child a half-day of outdoor learning and exploration.• $71 provides a full day of River Camp fun with canoeing, nature walks, games, and memories made. • $177.50 offers a child a half-week at River Camp, to explore the outdoors, build friendships, and grow in confidence. • $355 opens the door to a full week of River Camp and memories that last a lifetime.
River Camp in Firebaugh
In 2012, the River Parkway Trust identified the community of Firebaugh as a great site to launch a River Camp program to serve youth in the community of Firebaugh and surrounding Westside communities. This unique program offers the River Camp experience to youth in underserved and disadvantaged agricultural communities that would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience and learn about the San Joaquin River.
This program continues to grow and in recent years, thanks to our generous corporate and individual sponsors, we have been able to expand the River Camp summer program in Firebaugh from two weeks to six weeks. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to gain visibility in Firebaugh and the surrounding Westside communities.

Parkway Partners
- Since our founding in 1988, we have partnered with local businesses and individuals to create an amenity that is enjoyed by over 50,000 people annually. To date, the San Joaquin River Parkway consists of 4,000 acres, of the Parkway's planned 6,000 acres. Each year, thousands of Valley children have the chance to connect to the river through education programs like River Camp and school field trips. Your investment in the Parkway will enhance your business and build a solid foundation for the River Parkway Trust's mission. We are looking for partners who:
- Recognize the value of creating and protecting a 22-mile Parkway from Friant Dam to Highway 99
- Support environmental, conservation, health, or community development initiatives that align with creating and maintaining the highest quality of life for all Valley residents
