Sarah Parkes
Assistant Director
Sarah joined the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust in 2006 as a college intern from Fresno State. During her tenure with the River Parkway Trust, Sarah has served in various roles, including Communications Associate, Program Director, Director of Annual Giving, Development Director, and now Assistant Director. In her spare time, Sarah can be found trail running, mountain biking, stand-up paddleboarding throughout California (and in the deserts of Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado, places she loves dearly). Sarah is an ultra-marathoner working towards completing her first 100k distance race. Sarah served as one of the nine inaugural members of the Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission. Parks have been important to Sarah throughout her life, and it was a true honor for her to be part of the implementation of the tax measure that will change the landscape in Fresno. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Humanics Certification in non-profit management.
