Sumner Peck Ranch
The River Parkway Trust acquired Sumner Peck Ranch in December 2020 funded in part by a grant from the State of California San Joaquin River Conservancy. The property includes a half-mile of river frontage and wildlife habitat in addition to farmland.
Sumner Peck Ranch is located on the main channel of the San Joaquin River approximately 5 miles downstream of Friant Dam and is contiguous with Ball Ranch, Ledger Island and the Willow Unit of the San Joaquin River Ecological Reserve.
Approximately 30 of the 76.2 acres fall within the active floodplain of the San Joaquin River, and include mature native riparian forest predominated by Cottonwoods, Sycamores, Box Elders, and Valley Oaks.
