Bill describes Sycamore Island as his Disneyland and Moon landing (so to speak). Many highlights of his fishing career, friendships, and life moments, have all taken place on the property. Soon the 3rd generation of Bill’s family will be "Legendary" as his granddaughter is coming of age to toss a “Fresno Rig" in one of the ponds.
For those who have never heard of a "Fresno Rig", it is a special fishing setup that Bill invented one year while fishing in the Sycamore Island Trout Pond. As Bill is not one to hide knowledge, he has gladly shown hundreds of customers how to set it up during his employment at the bait shop. And he is looking forward to sharing more knowledge with future, new, and returning customers.
After being a fisherman/customer for 37-38 years, it still amazes Bill that the same old fishing hole still has the magic that it held on day #1.
