Abel Delasancha was hired in April 2024 as a park host at Sycamore Island and promoted to the restoration team in July. Mr. Delasancha conducts field work and supervises labor crews and volunteers supporting habitat enhancement projects, A native of the valley, Mr. Delasancha is an enthusiastic angler and a licensed kayak fishing guide, known for his social media presence under the handle "valleyshenanigans".
