Come spend part of your summer as a volunteer, where you'll gain experience with campers, build friendships, learn leadership skills, and explore and enjoy the San Joaquin River!
The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust is looking for energetic, fun-loving high school students who are interested in developing their leadership and communication skills as well as gaining experience working with younger children.
Junior Leaders are a necessary piece of the River Camp puzzle! Junior Leaders assist River Camp Staff in leading a variety of activities each day including arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing, games, and songs. They act as role models for the campers, demonstrating a spirit of respect for the environment, cooperation with camp rules and guidelines, and willingness to work and play with everyone at River Camp. The Junior Leaders program includes the opportunity for teens to participate in team-building and leadership activities with their peers during the one-week camp session. Ages: Entering 9th through 12th grades *Junior Leaders are considered volunteers. High School youth ages 16 and up are eligible to apply for paid counselor positions.
