Lyn Peters
Secretary
Lyn has been on the Board of the River Parkway Trust for over 8 years, but she is not like most of our members. Unlike many or perhaps all of our members, Lyn is not a hiker, backpacker, or birdwatcher. For all her life, she has been a “drive to the location, park and gets out of the car” wildland enjoyer. This was true when she lived in Reno as a child and enjoyed the Lake Tahoe region and is true now that she enjoys our area of the Sierra Nevada’s.
The San Joaquin River has been an important part of Lyn’s life since she moved to Fresno when she was in the fourth grade. They didn’t have air conditioning at home and the swamp cooler wasn’t a lot of help. Her parents immediately joined Wildwood Swim Club and spent as much time there as possible. Lyn thoroughly enjoys being part of this organization and adding additional properties for the protection of the river.
Lyn joined the Parkway Trust when the Ranch House celebrated the grand opening and became a house docent/gift store clerk and has served on several committees. She then joined the Board and currently serves as Board Secretary.
