Teresa Magana
Programs Coordinator
Teresa joined the Trust in January 2025 as a student intern while completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration with a minor in Philanthropic and Community-Based Leadership at Fresno State. As the daughter of immigrants and a proud Central Valley native, she is deeply committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that resources and opportunities are accessible to all members of the community. Her passion lies in fostering connections, promoting education, and cultivating inclusive spaces.
Before becoming the Trust’s Programs Coordinator, Teresa gained valuable experience through diverse internship opportunities. She served as a student intern with Rocket Kids, a program run by the University of Toledo, and spent a summer in Europe working with Child and Youth Services through the U.S. Army. There, she provided educational and recreational programming for children and youth of military families, further strengthening her dedication to youth development and community engagement.
In her current role as Programs Coordinator, Teresa works to connect the community to the San Joaquin River Parkway through meaningful programs that highlight conservation, education, and recreation. She is passionate about creating welcoming, engaging experiences that inspire a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.
In her free time, Teresa enjoys exploring nature through journaling and painting—creative outlets she uses to reflect on and capture the beauty of the natural world.
