Los Fresnanitos

Los Fresnanitos are a Fresno based Son Jarocho Collective founded in 2023. They are a group of artivists, educators, and culture workers who have come together as students of Son Jarocho. They have participated in workshops and fandangos throughout California and Mexico and are inspired by the collective spirit of Son Jarocho. Los Fresnanitos take their name from the son Los Enanitos. Los enanos are mythical, often mischievous beings, part of popular culture throughout Mexico. Like these mythical beings Los Fresnanitos work together to bring joy and a bit of magic to the tarima y fandango.
