John Telles M.D.

Dr. John Telles is a board-certified cardiologist and electrophysiologist with more than four decades of experience in internal medicine and cardiovascular care. A Managing Partner at the Heart Group in Fresno, Dr. Telles specialized in cardiac electrophysiology and has held active staff positions at St. Agnes Medical Center, Fresno Heart Hospital, and other regional medical institutions since 1979. He has also served as chairman of departments at both St. Agnes Medical Center and Fresno Heart Hospital.
Dr. Telles earned his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship at the University of Cincinnati, residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester, and a fellowship in electrophysiology. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Telles has a long-standing commitment to public health and environmental stewardship. He has served on the California Air Resources Board and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, where he brought medical insight to conversations around air quality and public policy. His research and presentations have often focused on the connection between air pollution and cardiovascular health.
Dr. Telles is an active member of the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and the Fresno Madera Medical Society. His service to the community has been recognized with Citizenship Awards from both the Fresno Madera Medical Society and Fresno Metro Ministry. He also coached youth soccer for 15 years and continues to support local agriculture as the owner of Telles Pistachio Orchards.
