George Folsom retired from Patton Air Conditioning and has worked in the HVAC industry as a technician, service department, and building management systems manager for over 40 years. A native of the Fresno/Clovis area, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years with tours of duty in Alameda, CA, Alaska International Fisheries Patrol and Vietnam War Coastal Patrol. After USCG service he attended Fresno City College, receiving an AA degree focusing on industrial technology and field biology. He enjoys hiking, environmental science, travel, history, gardening, and birding. After volunteering for the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust for several years he became a director and served as president of the board for eight years. George joined the board because he strongly supports the mission and goals of the Trust.
