Andrew Cantu
Board Member
Andrew became a board member in January 2024 with aims of providing counsel and collaboration to the collective board by way of his desire to assist in facilitating and growing community-focused programs around the San Joaquin River.
Andrew is native to the Central Valley. Raised in Kingsburg, he attended both Fresno State and Fresno Pacific University on the way to his profession as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Fresno with Zimmerman Therapy Group. There, he works populations including children, adults of all ages, couples, and families in their efforts to find healing and insight through life’s challenges and hardships.
Andrew finds passion and purpose in his career as a therapist, and is eager to use the overlap his day job shares with the goals of The Trust. In particular, Andrew wishes to assist The Trust in creating greater community access to the river through its programs focused on seeking growth of the human spirit, and its endeavor to further the conservation and protection of the river’s historical appeal.
