Friant Ranch is located next to the San Joaquin River Parkway, Lost Lake Park and Millerton Lake, long considered by many the recreational jewels of Fresno County.

	Vulcan Materials Company believes that being a good corporate citizen requires hard work to nurture our employees, respect our neighbors and protect the environment for future generations. In 2001, Vulcan deeded the historic Riverview Ranch and surrounding 4 acres to the River Parkway Trust.  With local support, the Trust renovated the 1890s ranch house, landscaped the grounds, and opened the facility to the public in 2002 as the Coke Hallowell Center for River Studies (River Center). Vulcan currently is continuing reclamation work on its former mining lands that surround the River Center.
	Since 2002, Wells Fargo has supported the River Parkway Trust’s programs, with special emphasis on those for underserved youth. In keeping with their current focus on supporting the environmental work of nonprofits and providing the opportunity for Wells Fargo team members to improve their communities, Wells has granted money to the Trust to help develop a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) project along the Parkway.
