Nature Walk at Lost Lake ParkThis event has been cancelled due to COVID-19.Join guide John H. for this free family-friendly nature walk at Lost Lake Park! The focus of the walk will be natural cycles, which are critical to life on earth. Understanding these cycles and how they interact is key to understanding our impact on the earth's ecological systems. This hike will take place at the nature trail at Lost Lake, located at the south end of the park, but will meet at the River Center and caravan to Lost Lake from there. We will explore examples of natural cycles among the flora growing in the riparian zone and discuss the Native American history of the area. This walk is best suited to those ages 11+. Following the walk we will discuss the effects of human activity on natural cycles and ways we can minimize those effects. This walk may be anywhere from 1-2.5 miles in length and last up to 2 hours. Please dress appropriately for a morning outdoors (long pants, closed-toed shoes) and bring a reusable water bottle and a mask to have on hand. Due to COVID-19, we will be keeping the group size small. Advanced registration is required; please be sure to include all attendees (including children) when registering. When
