April River Stewards Volunteer Work Day

Join the San Joaquin River Parkway & Conservation Trust on Saturday, April 27th for a river cleanup at Riverbottom Park in northwest Fresno. Our river stewards will be hiking the trails and combing the shoreline to remove litter from this popular, city park.   

The event wil lrun from 9:00am until 12:00pm and is suitable for all ages. 

Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle along with any snacks they may want. All equipment is provided, but you can help us further reduce waste by bringing your own bucket for trash collection and/or gardening gloves. 

Volunteers will meet at the park entrance located at the corner of Bluff Ave and N. Santa Fe Ave. Parking is located along the side of Santa Fe Ave. Please carpool as much as possible and be curteous to neighborhood residents. To get there from Fresno: 

  • The entrance is located adjacent to 6126 Bluff Ave, Fresno, CA 93722 (private residence)
  • Head to W. Herndon Ave in Northwest Fresno
  • Turn north onto N. Milburn Ave
  • Turn Left onto W. Alluvial Ave
  • Turn Left onto N. Santa Fe Ave.
  • Turn Left to stay on N. Santa Fe Ave. and the entrance will be straight ahead in the corner with Bluff Ave. 
  • Park on N. Santa Fe Ave opposite of the houses.
