Calling all high schoolers! Join us out at Owl Hollow for an evening of exploring nature, teambuilding activities, and sunset kayaking!
• Kayaking: Take your communication skills on the water! Together we will paddle around a calm stretch of the San Joaquin at Owl Hollow as the sun sets around us. There will be an opportunity for us to explore our surroundings as well as perform a variety of team building exercises on the water.
• Teambuilding: Put your communication skills to the test with a variety of games. Prepare to complete various puzzles, find yourself blindfolded and more! Masks will be required/available for a $1 fee.
• Nature Walk: Once the sunsets and our eyes adjust to the low light around us, we will hike from Owl Hollow to the River Center. Along the way we will test our night vision, call some nocturnal creatures and experiment with bioluminescence. Your guide will discuss various plants, animals, and natural history as you explore the beautiful floodplain between the two properties.
This adventure requires attendees to be in high school to participate and will last approximately 4 hours. Please note that there is a $40 fee per participant and advanced registration with online payment is required for participation. Please bring a water bottle, snack, and mask to have on hand. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Dress appropriately for late spring evening outdoors and wear shoes that can get wet/muddy.
