The Trust hires a number of seasonal full-time and part-time staff for programs and projects throughout the year. See descriptions below for approximate timeframes for position advertisement and hiring.
Restoration Technician. This individual is responsible for the on-the-ground implementation of habitat restoration projects. The Restoration Technician will work directly with field crews to perform invasive plant removal, habitat restoration, and project monitoring.
River Camp Staff (Head Counselor/Counselor/Lifeguard) River Camp is a summer day camp program held along the San Joaquin River. There are currently four River Camp programs: River Camp at the River Center, River Camp at Firebaugh, River Camp at Owl Hollow, and River Camp Young Explorers. For full descriptions of the four programs, please visit our website. Applicants apply to the River Camp family of programs in general, and may be offered any of the positions listed below, placed at any of the four programs, or asked to work at multiple programs during the camp season. All River Camp staff are required to attend at least 70% (25 hours) of staff training held June 14th through 18th; inability to attend a minimum of 25 hours of training will result in ineligibility for a position on camp staff. Time commitments will vary at each individual program- general program dates are June 21st -August 13th . All applications due by March 5th, 2021.
