Full-time/Regular Positions

The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust (Trust) is seeking an Inclusion Coordinator to launch the pilot River Camp Inclusion Program (RCIP) serving youth with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities at two River Camp Sites (Adventurers and Firebaugh) this summer. This position will provide leadership for the RCIP program, performing most of the administrative and coordination work and overseeing five (5) Inclusion Specialists (four in Fresno, one in Firebaugh). This is a full-time (40 hr/wk), non-regular seasonal position beginning in late March 2023 through October 2023. The Trust is pursuing additional funding to transition the Inclusion Coordinator position to a regular full-or-part time position beginning in October 2023. Park Hosts assist with public access operations at Sycamore Island - A property offering fishing and boating access to the San Joaquin River along with outdoor recreation. River Camp Director Positions
All River Camp Director Positions will participate in monthly Leadership Team meetings to prepare for the camp season from February-May, will assist with interviewing counselors in March and April, will participate in and lead portions of staff training (60 hours) June 3rd-5th and June 8th-10th and will oversee camp sessions during the summer (June-August). See position descriptions for specific time commitments for each position. Positions are open until filled; the deadline for all Director applications has been extended to March 13th, 2023.

This individual is responsible for the direction of the Young Explorers pre-k day camp program, which takes place Tu-Th mornings from June-August.
This individual is responsible for the direction of the River Camp Voyagers day camp program for high school-aged campers. Daily activities include paddle sports, hiking, and recreational and teambuilding activities. This camp runs M-F from June-July.
This individual is responsible for the direction of the River Camp Rangers day camp program for 6th-8th grade campers, which takes place M-F from June-August.
These individuals are responsible for the direction of the River Camp Adventurers day camp program for 1st-5th grade campers. River Camp Adventurers has 14 staff members; each Co-Director will act as primary supervisor to 7 staff members. River Camp Adventurers takes place M-F from June-August.
This individual is responsible for the direction of 1st-6th grade camp programs for participating Unified School Districts. This camp runs M-F from June-July; camp dates may be subject to change.
This individual is responsible for the direction of River Camp at Firebaugh 1st-8th grade summer day camp program at Andrew Firebaugh Community Center and Park. This camp runs from M-F from June-July.
River Camp Staff Positions
All River Camp Staff Positions are required to attend at least 66% of staff training June 3rd-5th and June 8th-10th and will work camp sessions during the summer (June-August). See position descriptions for specific time commitments for each position. Positions are open until filled; final applications due March 23rd, 2023.

These individuals are responsible for groups of up to 14 campers. Basic responsibilities include but are not limited to group management, group activities, arts and crafts, camp songs and general supervision. Camp programs run from June - August, weeks vary by program. Applicants must be 16+ years of age.
This individual is responsible for supervising a group of up to 10 campers registered for early drop-off/late pick-up. The AM/PM Assistant will travel to Scout Island daily to offer support to on-site staff.
These individuals provide guidance and ongoing training to River Camp Counselors throughout the camp season. Responsibilities include but are not limited to leading educational activities for groups of up to 40 campers and supporting 2-4 counselors by providing feedback and guidance on counselor performance. Applicants must have completed one year of college or equivalent time/experience. Prior River Camp Staff experience preferred.
These individuals are responsible for set up/tear down of daily swim and canoe zones, supervision of swim time, and assisting site director(s) however instructed. Applicants must be 16+ years of age and possess Lifeguard Certification valid through 8/18/2023.
