March River Stewards Work Day

Registration is closed for this event

Thank you to everyone that has helped us install thousands of native plants at the Spano River Ranch. Now we need your help to make sure they are growing up strong. Join us as we perform some light weeding, mulching, and build protective cages for the young plants. This event will run from 9:00am until 12:00pm and is a great opportunity for all individuals and groups. There is no longterm commitment and all tools are provided.

We will meet at the gate to the property located at the corner of Riverview Drive and Bluff Avenue.

To get there from Fresno:

  • Exit highway 41 North at Friant Road
  • Turn Right (northeast) onto Friant Road towards Woodward Park
  • Turn Left (west) onto Audubon Drive and continue past the park and across the overpass
  • Turn Right onto Del Mar Avenue and then make your first left onto Riverview Drive. The gate will be straight ahead.

Save time by printing and filling out a volunteer service agreement from our River Stewards webpage and bring it with you. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.

Take care to protect yourself from the heat. Bring a refillable water bottle, put on sunscreen, and wear a hat.
